Amazing experience. Came here for my wife's birthday and they did an amazing job setting us up and surprising her with mochi and nice fruit for her birthday. First time doing omakase as a couple and the courses felt nerve ending - we did the 10 nigiri option which felt endless. I can't wait to come back

AMAZING! We recently went here for my fiance's birthday with 7 of our friends. The restaurant is very small and could seat about 11 people max. The sushi chefs and the manager/owner (I assume) was very engaging and attentive for the entire meal! This restaurant is BYOB and the omakase is only $88. You really can't beat the price for the quality of fish and service you're getting! My personal favorite was the Spanish Mackerel which was shocking because I honestly don't like Mackerel due to their fishier taste but here, it was mild and very buttery. The chef even persuaded me to try the uni and foie gras combination which was so buttery and delicious. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a deal, great service and a fun atmosphere.

A cozy spot for delicious omakase tucked into the LES -- the value is great, with two menus for $58 and $88, respectively! You get an appetizer, 9 nigiri and 2 hand rolls for the $58 menu -- this is such a steal. The space itself is super intimate, would recommend coming with a friend or two. The fish was super fresh and tasty -- literally every single bite was delicious, with my favorites being the sashimi appetizer and Chutoro Tuna. There was a good mix of raw and torched fish, too. If you're looking for a quality omakase which doesn't break the bank, cannot recommend this enough.

This was my first omakase experience and I had a great time at matsunori! They offer two different packages, a $58 package and an $88 package. We got the $88 package. The appetizers were alright but I really liked the fish and my favorite was the wagyu! They also gave us a glass of their yuzu sake for free and a refill for free too! The restaurant seats about 10 people and is quite small and intimate. The whole experience takes about an hour. I would come back if I want a no frills omakase experience.
